I Set Up the xTool O1 Omni and Printed My First UV Project

I unbox and calibrate the xTool O1 Omni and print a ceramic magnet as its first UV project, including the small mistake I made along the way.

This one covers my first day with the xTool O1 Omni, from pulling out the shipping materials to going over the included accessories, the ports, the exhaust connection, the air filter and the ink bays. It’s an unboxing and first project, not a finished review.

I install the side cartridges and the UV ink cartridges, and then xTool Studio takes over with the guided setup. That means removing the print-head protection, fitting the calibration hardware, starting the white-ink circulation, priming everything and working through the sensor and nozzle checks.

I made a mistake with the standard adhesive mat, which sent me on a small detour, but I got the calibration sorted and kept going with the tutorial job. The machine scans a ceramic fridge-magnet blank, Smart Mask keeps the overspray in check and I set up the first color-and-white print.

About 90 minutes after opening the box, I had a clean first print. I’m saving the bigger performance conclusions for later testing, but if you just got one of these, this should give you a realistic idea of the setup, the little hiccups and the checks you’ll go through before your first print.
