This Laser Blank Looks Even Better UV Printed

I UV print both sides of a holographic leatherette luggage tag on the xTool O1 Omni and explain why I went with flexible white ink.

I had a holographic MakerFlo Laserette luggage tag sitting in the shop, and I wanted to see how it would look with a full-color UV print on the xTool O1 Omni Dual UV. You don’t need an expensive or unusual blank to make a nice sample.

I scan the tag in xTool Studio, bring in transparent artwork, rotate and size each design to the blank, and print one side at a time. I used one flexible white layer under one color layer because a luggage tag is going to bend when people use it.

Both sides took 3 minutes 51 seconds total, about two minutes a side, and xTool Studio estimated roughly 1.5 cents of ink. The colors stayed vibrant and some of the holographic finish still shows through, but rigid white would be more likely to crack when the tag flexes.

A tag like this could work for company kits, events, family trips, or reunions, and you could offer names, logos, or info printed on the inside as an upgrade. Start with useful blanks and match your ink to how the product is going to move.
