The Morpho UV Printer Doesn’t Have a Vacation Mode—Does It Need One?

I left my Morpho UV printer powered on for eight days without any special prep to find out whether it really needs a vacation mode.

My Morpho Pro UV printer doesn’t have a vacation mode, so I left it powered on for eight days without pre-purging or cleaning the heads first. I wanted to see how it would do when I came back and started printing again.

Once I was back, I set up prints in Morpho Studio on both the A4 and A3 bed sizes using snapshot alignment. I tried a puzzle print and did some first tests on leatherette and a Bible cover, and those showed me how much material flatness and printhead height matter.

I also talk about why I don’t think this printer needs a traditional vacation mode. It comes down to the I3200 printhead and the self-cleaning setup, which is a different approach from printers that rely on maintenance liquids and flushing.

The Morpho made it through its eight-day “vacation” with no problems and printed right away. My bigger lessons were about choosing the right material and getting the print height right, and I was glad to see how quickly Morpho’s support team responded.
