I wanted to show a quick project on the xTool O1 Omni that you could actually make and sell for Christmas. From setup to finished print, these ceramic coasters took me under ten minutes, and the ink came out to roughly $1.50 per coaster.
In xTool Studio, I scan the coaster, make a Smart Mask to keep overspray under control, and set up a flat white-plus-color print using the ceramic coaster preset. I also drop in a photo and walk through why I picked the settings I did, along with how I got that ink cost estimate from retail pricing.
These coasters are magnetic, so I use the standard bed. I also talk through rigid versus flexible white and the feathering and choke settings. You don’t strictly need a white layer on these, but it can help seal a porous surface and clean up the print.
Personalized coaster sets are cheap to make and fast to produce, which is why I think they’re worth a look if you sell on Etsy or somewhere similar. Play with the settings and see what works for you.
