I Made a Two-Sided Raised Texture Challenge Coin on the xTool O1 Omni

I UV print a two-sided, pirate-themed challenge coin with raised texture on the xTool O1 Omni, from scanning and alignment to batch timing.

I made a two-sided pirate challenge coin on the xTool O1 Omni. I scan the coin, prep artwork for both sides, go with texture instead of relief printing, and use a makeshift jig to keep the alignment accurate.

In xTool Studio, I align the graphics and pick the print settings. I also ran into Wi-Fi connection issues and show the USB workaround I used to get past them.

The finished coin took about 40 minutes to print and roughly $0.21 in ink. xTool Studio estimates much faster times when you print several coins at once, so batching really matters here.

Textured prints could work for more than challenge coins, like custom game tokens. I also mention that I’ll be at the Next Level Maker Summit, with a shout-out for anyone who comes and mentions the video.
