I made a custom layered wall sign out of wood and acrylic on my xTool P3, then put it together and got it ready to hang. Hanging it is the last step, and I think it deserves the same care as making it.
Before drilling, I connect the Walabot DIY 2 to my phone and calibrate it on the wall. Its visual scan shows me the framing and warns me about anything else behind the drywall, which tells me a lot more than measuring or a basic stud finder.
With that scan, I can pick mounting points that hold the sign without drilling blindly near a wire or pipe. That matters most with heavier pieces, in rooms you don’t know well or anywhere one bad hole can turn into a much bigger job than the project itself.
This video is sponsored, but I wanted to keep the tool in a real project: design it, cut it, assemble it, check the wall, and then hang it. Knowing what’s behind the wall is part of finishing the project safely.
