These personalized stocking tags all come from one layered design, cut in four different wood and acrylic combinations. I customize the names in Cuttle, and the cut files have optional score lines that help line things up during assembly.
I prep the material with adhesive backing so the layers go together without liquid glue. Then I walk through cut planning, assembly, and how each material combo looks finished.
For pricing, I use $8 per tag and look at hands-on time as well as laser time. Batching cuts down the labor per tag, and if you wanted to personalize these on site at a craft show, you’d need a way to keep names, materials, and machine time organized.
I like that one design can give you several different looks without rebuilding anything, and the idea could work with UV printing too.
