Javon at Cheney Concepts challenged me to do a shop tour, so here’s my shop as it stands, a starting point for Created Workshop and my retail business going into 2025. It’s disorganized right now, but it works.
I show you my dust collection with a Dust Deputy, my lasers, my CNC (a 3 XXL with a spindle upgrade) and a mobile tool cart with a Porter Cable joiner, drill press and planer. I really like how versatile my CNC setup is, but if you’re buying a new desktop CNC today, Onefinity is my top recommendation.
I want to get the shop more organized, starting with drawers and fronts for the cabinets I already have. That project will get its own video. It’s far from ideal right now, but it does the job for both the YouTube channel and the retail side.
Your shop doesn’t need to look finished to be useful. Documenting where things are right now should make it easier to decide what to organize or upgrade next.
