Keychains are one of the easiest laser projects out there, whether you’re making one for yourself or a batch to sell. I wanted to show just how simple they are.
I design the keychain in LightBurn with some basic shapes and text, then send it to the xTool S1 40W and cut it from EcoBirch plywood. After that, I clean the engraved surface with a magic eraser.
I go over setting up the machine for material thickness and power. The S1’s automatic air assist helped me get clean cuts without a lot of soot on the finished piece.
They don’t take much design work and they turn around quickly, which is why I think they’re a good fit for craft fairs or selling online.
