My L1800 DTF printer quit printing white, which usually points to a print head problem. I worked through troubleshooting with Procolored’s engineers to confirm that’s what was going on.
I show how I tested the printer by isolating and retesting the white ink channels, then I walk through physically swapping the print head. Take your time with the connections here, because you have to be careful handling them.
Replacing a print head isn’t cheap, but when it’s clogged or just not working, sometimes it’s the fix you need. I’d hang on to the old head, too, since it might be repairable down the road.
Once you know what you’re looking at, diagnosing this and getting back up and running can go pretty quickly.
